Partnership with Higher Education Institutions
Pomorskie is a place of learning. In 2017, the region was home to 90,000 students, enrolled at one of its many universities and institutions of higher education. Almost 20% of students that choose Pomorskie graduate in one of the STEM subjects, such as engineering and new technologies – contributing to the region’s reputation as a hub for research and development.
Pomorskie Regional EU Office in Brussels is proud of its continuing cooperation with the region’s leading institutions of higher education. These offered a wide, and varied, range of specialist study options, some which are taught in English and open to foreign students:
Gdańsk University of Technology
Gdynia Maritime University
Medical University of Gdańsk
Pomeranian University in Słupsk
Universities in Pomorskie are open to international cooperation and active exchange of people and ideas. This is reflected in their involvement in the following European umbrella organisations: European University Association, Baltic Sea Region University Network, Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research, EU Marine University Association, International Association of Maritime Universities.
What is more, Pomorskie is known for its research centres, which take a lead on numerous international projects:
