The research prepared by the Warsaw University of Technology shows that Gdańsk is the second most dynamically developing city in Poland. The first place belongs to the Polish capitol – Warsaw, and the third to Poznań. Another city from the Pomorskie Region, Sopot, was ranked as the fourth.
The list, based on 16 indicators from economic, social and environmental sectors, was announced on 4th November during the conference on the sustainable social and economic development of the local governments units. The list includes all Polish cities and gminas, and was based on the so-called Local Data Bank, owned by the Polish Central Statistical Office.
