The European Commission has awarded Gdynia’s project in this year’s RegioStars. The Jury singled out 19 shortlisted finalists from 80 projects.
The prizes were awarded in four categories:
Gdynia has been awarded in the CityStar category, outshining 3 other projects: “Transport in Kielce”, “Swansea City Bus Station” from UK and “Ticket to Kyoto” prepared together by Brussels, Paris, Rotterdam, Manchester and Bielefeld.
The Award winning ceremony took place in Brussels on March 31. The prize was awarded by Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for Regional Policy and Luc Van den Brande, the President of Jury. On behalf of Gdynia the award was collected by Michał Guć, city’s Deputy Mayor and Ryszard Śliwiński, Member of Pomorskie Voivodeship Board.
