The jazz quartet PINK FREUD (Gdańsk) is going to play at Club Chet Baker on 8 July 2012 as part of the Comblain Jazz Festival. They will present their new compositions from the album Horse & Power which was released on 15 May 2012.
Pink Freud was formed in Gdansk in 1998. It is one of the most active jazz groups on the Polish contemporary scene. The group’s music is not limited to traditional jazz forms – it is enriched by electronic tonalities, rock, punk, jungle, dub and drum’n’bass influences and pieces of experimental music.
In spring 2012, their new album Horse & Power, produced by Roli Mosimann (Faith No More, The Young Gods, The The) and Marcin Cichy from the Wroclaw duo Skalpel,was released. , which led the musicians to take it on tour in Japan, Sweden, France, Hungary, Poland and, soon, Belgium, in the second half of 2012.
