Pomorskie launches Regional Office in Beijing, China

During their visit in China, the representatives of the Pomeranian local authorities and entrepreneurs, including the marshal of the Pomorskie viovodeship, Mieczysław Struk, had the pleasure of participating in the opening of Pomorskie Regional Office in Beijing. Its main aim would be helping the entrepreneurs and citizens who live and work in China, but who would like to join the Polish market. The opening took place on 14^th October; the Pomorskie region is the first to have its  permanent representation in the People’s Republic of China. The Pomorskie representatives also participated in one of the biggest events in the logistic branch in Asia – the International Logistics and Transportation Fair in Shenzhen. The visit also included a meeting with the representatives of the Gaolan Port Economic Zone, where companies like British Petroleum, Shell, China National Petroleum Corporation have started their investments. The Zhuhai area is a good example of how to merge education, research and production, which is possible due to the support from the acknowledged universities. The region is also famous because of the mass production of computer software and integrated circuts.
