We would like to inform you that a CoR Subsidiarity Monitoring Network launched Targeted Consultation on the review of EU air and emissions policy.
It will run till 2 December next.
A comprehensive review of EU air quality and emissions legislation is foreseen for 2013 at the latest. Given the importance of air quality management for many municipalities and regions in the EU, the European Commission asked the Committee of the Regions for an outlook opinion on the review of the Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution including existing EU air quality and emissions legislation.

The questionnaire is currently being translated in all official EU languages and will be made available soon.
A summary report of the consultation together with all contributions received will be forwarded to Mr Lamers who will be able to use this information in the preparation of his draft opinion.
